Mitch had a passion for landscaping from a very young age. This was quite evident at school – he spent more time helping the groundsman than in the classroom. After completing school Mitch finished his second year of a Carpentry apprenticeship before he was drafted by the Adelaide Crows where he played for the following 5 years. This freed him up and allowed him to chase his childhood dream of becoming a Landscaper. On his days off from training or playing he would work for The Stringybark Team. Mitch loved it so much he completed a Certificate III in Landscape Construction. His days at the Crows were cut short and he went back to Norwood in the SANFL (where he won 2 Margery Medals) and started working full time in the Landscape industry. Mitch spent 18 months with another landscape company as their lead man, however his heart was always with Stringybark and wanted to return when a position became available. In 2017 a lead position became available, and Mitch was the first person The Stringybark Team approached and of course Mitch said “yes”. Mitch is a great leader – his landscape knowledge, work ethic, communication and attention to detail are all standout qualities of his – and if you ever work with him you will quickly see what we mean.
In 2021 Mitch became a Director of Stringybark along with Matt. He is currently completing his Builders Licence and has a real passion for landscaping.
